One might suspect that Wendy was born with a spoon in her mouth— but that would be a tasting spoon, not a silver one. From her inauspicious beginnings to her current Atlas’s stride atop the business world, Wendy has never deviated from a consuming passion: to explore beyond the horizons of the Health & Wellness, Food & Beverage world of culinary knowledge to creating unique “Meals that Heal”, using innovative cooking methods and also sublime compositions for the palate that blend textures and flavors in sensuous harmony.
From the moment she stepped into the doors of the Health & Wellness world, in 1987 to her current restaurant at Waterloo Street, Wendy has seduced her audiences and tongue-tied food critics from the media to the Art Culinaire with food of modern artistry, combining nutritious ingredients with a personal touch. It was only after the death of her Brother-in-Law whom suffered from a cancer disease that she turned to full time Herbalist & Health & Wellness profession.
Having been in the Health & Wellness scene for the past 20 years, herbal-trained and has managed her own businesses in Singapore, Wendy kicked-off her Health & Wellness career with The British Food Export Council in London in 1976 and has also ventured into her own Health & Wellness business locally at a young age.
The experience she gained from past working experiences and managing her own business has given her the business acumen that can only be gained through mistakes, painful lessons and monetary losses. One has to be truthful and be able to with-hold setbacks to become stronger. Wendy has the attributes, knowledge and skills to gain command & respect from her clients, friends, industry associates, colleagues and employees due to her humble personality, approachable character and is able to share the negatives and positives in the business world and on a personal level.
Also a well-traveled business woman and a highly skilled Chef, Wendy turned to being a full time Herbalist and has helped many disease stricken patients with her expertise in concocting healthy meals for the people who have consulted her. Doctors have worked with her on many occasions on healing meals, Wendy is also the first person to open the first Organic shop in Singapore in 1998.
Wendy also conducts Healthy Cooking Class on Healing Meals, provide Health Talks to various communities locally and abroad (on the 7 Pillars of Health, Cooking with Herbs, Importance of Enzymes, and other Health Matters) Wendy has gone to Germany and Australia to learn various healing recipes for both the health seekers and the sick. She has also work with Naturapaths to provide healing food for cancer patients and others. She speaks on Radio stations (FM93.8 Body & Soul) on Health Matters and contributes articles to various Health & Wellness magazines as well.
In line with her interest in using food as nature’s medicine, Wendy has accumulated vast knowledge and experience in the art of preparing and cooking healing food to promote health, vitality and longevity. Her specially prepared dishes are not only culinary delights but also healthful.
Adding to Wendy’s repertoire as a wellness advocate is her knowledge in using water as a therapeutic agent. In her capacity as a health consultant, Wendy advises health seekers on how to use Gerson Therapy (including using coffee enema for detoxing the body), eating living food and drinking alkaline, anti-oxidant water for health, beauty and rejuvenation. She has many testimonies to share in harnessing the power of electrons, through drinking Kangen Water, consuming living and organic food and walking barefoot or using grounding products to treat and reverse modern-day degenerative diseases.

Recently, Wendy went ahead to set up her first Health Café, “Kangen Bistro by Wendy & Owen” to cater to Health Seekers while establishing the Kangen Water shop to provide healing water for the general public, and marketing the Kangen Water System for a Japanese company call Enagic.

From his inauspicious beginnings as a 18-year-old apprentice at his father’s hawker stall, to his current Atlas’s stride atop the business world, Owen has never deviated from a consuming passion: to explore beyond the horizons of the Food & Beverage world of culinary knowledge, management and business, always wanting to create unique concepts, innovative foods, sound managements and also profitable business ventures.
From the moment he stepped into the doors of the Food & Beverage world, in 1989 to his 120-seater restaurant in the Philippines, Owen has seduced his audiences and tongue-tied food critics from the media to the Art Culinaire with menus of modern artistry.
Having been in the Food & Beverage scene for the past 20 years, chef-trained and has managed many hotel restaurants, themed restaurants as a Corporate Chef, Executive Chef, General Manager and has held positions as Managing Director for established restaurant chains, manufacturing and catering businesses in Singapore, Owen has also ventured into his own business locally and overseas at a young age.
The experience he gained from past working experiences and managing his own business has given him the business acumen that can only be gained through mistakes, painful lessons and monetary losses. One has to be truthful and be able to with-hold setbacks to become stronger. Owen has the attributes and skills to gain command & respect from colleagues and employees due to his humble personality, approachable and able to share the negatives and positives in the business world and on a personal level. Being a Christian himself, the fear of the Lord has made him walk with God, with integrity in all things his does.
