How to Prevent Cancer: Turning The Tides On Cancer By Eliminating Root Causes
Cancer is a modern disease. With data from historical sources spanning three thousand years, scientists conclude that cancers have been rare in ancient times. A study conducted by the University of Manchester indicate that the first reports of cancer only appear in the 17th century(1).

How To Prevent Cancer: Understanding The Causes Of Cancer
Considering the skyrocketing incidences of cancer, it is evident that cancer is not simply a matter of genetics. In order to prevent cancer, we need to understand the causes of cancer.
According to Prof Keith Mumby, author of “Cancer Research Secrets“, cancer is an oxygen deficiency, an electron deficiency and an anti-oxidant deficiency. This effectively sums up the causes of cancers. And the good news is, we CAN drastically reduce the likelihood of succumbing to cancers by eliminating these root causes from our lives.
Our natural environment is electron rich, but the modern environment is electron deficient!
What is an electron? It is a minute subatomic particle that carries a negative electrical charge. A particle with excess electrons is negatively charged and is also called a negative ion; whereas one with a lack of electrons carries a net positive charge and is also called a positive ion.
The human race evolved in an atmosphere rich in electrically charged particles. Our sun showers the earth continuously with positive ions of hydrogen, while the Earth responds with the generation of negative ions of oxygen through the radiation of substances on the Earth’s crust. Alpine forests and waterfall areas also have lots of negative air ions. The most stupendous natural negative ion generator in the world is the Niagara Falls where there are about 100,000 negative ions per cubic centimeters.This accounts for its popularity as a wellness destination. In contrast, there are less than 100 negative ions per cubic centimeter of air in a typical air conditioned office.
Negative ions are necessary for the absorption of oxygen into the blood stream. Without ions we cannot assimilate oxygen in quantities needed to live. Early Russian scientists had conducted numerous experiments involving raising small healthy animals in oxygen rich air totally depleted of ions (3). Within two weeks all the animals had died from their inability to utilize oxygen properly without air ions. This is confirmed later by other researchers who conducted similar experiments.
Modern Environment is Perpetually Electron Depleted
Modern living with electrical equipment, pollution and the use of synthetic materials produces an environment full of positively charged ions, upsetting the natural electrical balance of our air, and making it impossible for us to take in enough oxygen our bodies need for optimal health. This is aggravated by the fact that we do not always remember to breathe deeply throughout the day.
In 1931 Dr. Warburg won his first Nobel Prize for proving cancer is caused by a lack of oxygen respiration in cells. He stated in an article titled “The Prime Cause and Prevention of Cancer” that “the cause of cancer is no longer a mystery, we know it occurs whenever any cell is denied 60% of its oxygen requirements.”
How to prevent cancers: Understanding acids and alkalies
The natural diet of the human, comprising mainly of raw fruits and vegetables, is alkaline and antioxidant rich. Again modern living with fast foods, excessive proteins and processed foods results in an acid rich diet with little or no antioxidants. To understand how this is linked you need to understand in more detail what an acid is, what an alkaline is and what an antioxidant is.
An acid is an electron pair acceptor i.e. it takes electrons from its environment making the environment less negative! An alkaline is an electron pair donor i.e. it donates electrons to the environment making it more negative.
Laboratory studies have shown that in the test tube, cancer cells and tumors thrive and grow in a more acidic environment. However, when the level of acid is lowered, tumors grow much more slowly.
According to Dr. Robert Young, Director of the pH Miracle Living Center and founder of the New Biology, “over-acidification of the body leads to the development of chronic yeast and fungal infections and ultimately a cancerous condition of the cells and tissues.”
What is an antioxidant?
An antioxidant is an electron donor that helps to neutralise free radicals. Free radicals are maverick molecules with unpaired electrons. They are highly reactive and in their quest to find another electron can cause severe damage to surrounding molecules. Free radicals are everywhere -in the air, our bodies, and the materials around us
Examples of antioxidants include beta carotene, lycopene, vitamin A, vitamin E, and vitamin C. Not only do antioxidant vitamins benefit your body with health benefits; they may also prevent cancer according to reputable medical sources.(4)
Here are the baseline steps you must take to prevent cancer:
(1) Breathe ionised air constantly by using an air ioniser to generate healthful negative ions. Deliberately create an ion rich environment with indoor plants or even a man-made water fountain.
(2) Learn how to breathe correctly, slowly and deeply to increase blood oxygenation.
(3) Increase your intake of raw fruits and vegetables which are highly alkaline, as well as antioxidant rich foods such as green tea, red wine, vegetables, and fruits such as sour cherries, acai berries, blueberries, mangosteen, and the noni fruit.
